Group Giving Game (Would Y'all?)

Disclosure · what is sharedoptional

Anyone may make a request of the whole group — to enact something together — and anyone uncomfortable raises a hand to change it, for themselves or for everyone; anyone can stop or alter an activity at any time. The manual warns to expect group hugs and cuddle puddles, and offers a T-group hand signal so quieter members get their requests heard.

Hold with care
  • Requests routinely become physical; the consent mechanics in the design (hand up to modify, anyone may stop) are the whole safety system and need saying out loud before the first request
  • The manual's own framing anticipates hugs and cuddle puddles — a workplace group needs a different container or a different game
