Whispered Belongings
Write down what you wish someone would say to make you feel loved and that you belong; show it to your partner, who reads it silently and meets your eyes. Then half the room stands and moves to whoever they are drawn to, reads their statement, and whispers it into their ear — eyes open or closed, as edgy as they like — before roles swap and partners return to share.
- Whispering into an ear is close contact with people one has not paired with; eyes-closed is offered as the edgier option and should also be understood as the option that removes seeing who approaches
- People are visited by whoever is drawn to them, so some are visited more than others
