Threshold Walk
A miniature quest: carrying one real question, each person walks alone in nature for about an hour, stepping deliberately over a chosen threshold — a stick, a stream, a gate — to mark the crossing into attentive, symbolic time. Whatever meets them (creatures, weather, images, memories) is received as material. Back in the circle, each tells their story and receives judgement-free mirroring from the group.
Prerequisites
- A genuine question each walker actually carries
- Basic terrain safety and clear boundaries/return time
- The mirroring round makes or breaks it (Inner Pathways: requires facilitator experience) — reflect the story's images back, never analyze the person
- Symbolic time can open grief or big life questions; the circle must have room for that landing
