One player is the police, one the thief, and everyone else are stones curled on the floor with room to run between them. The police plays as firm as they can in body and voice, the thief sneaks; the thief escapes by jumping over a stone and lying down beside it as a new stone, which sends the stone they landed by off as the new thief.
Hold with care
- Running and sudden direction changes in a shared space; the usual cautions about floor, footwear and furniture apply and the sheet does not give them
- Running between and jumping over people lying on the floor
- The sheet asks for spacing between the stones so there is room to run around them, which is the safety instruction
