Leadership 101
Each participant names a leader they admire and writes three qualities that make them effective, then a leader they dislike and what makes them bad. The lists go up in two columns and the group works the overlap — what surprised them, which qualities appear on both sides, how someone avoids becoming the second kind — until they arrive at a definition of leadership they made themselves rather than received.
- Naming a disliked leader can land on someone present or locally powerful; the handbook does not say so, and a facilitator should frame it before starting
