Whoever is caught stands as a statue with their arms down at their sides and is released when a free player gives them a hug. With a large group the sheet suggests starting with two taggers.
Hold with care
- Running and sudden direction changes in a shared space; the usual cautions about floor, footwear and furniture apply and the sheet does not give them
- The rescue is a hug, which means the game requires being hugged by whoever reaches you first — that needs to be opt-in, and the sheet does not say so
- The frozen player has their arms at their sides and cannot decline in the moment; a group should agree an alternative rescue for anyone who wants one before starting
