Understanding Our Core Beliefs

Disclosure · what is sharedoptional

A guided group examination of six beliefs the handbook treats as underpinning growth: self-responsibility, self-esteem, trust in a higher purpose, positive attitude, continual growth through life, and owning your power. Each is taken in turn; participants locate their own limiting belief inside it and practise an intention to turn it around. The facilitator is told to frame all of it as where someone stands now, not who they are.

Hold with care
  • "Trust in a higher purpose" carries religious framing that will not fit every group — the handbook assumes local adaptation
  • The handbook flags that several concepts are hard to translate and asks facilitators to carry them with stories or images
