Blind Desire
Eyes closed, attend to sensation, then to what the body wants, and let it move — first in place, then through the room, moving away from any contact and following your own pleasure; then, after a few minutes, making contact if it feels good, with the invitation to 'create experiences for each other'; then one word to whoever you are with; then eyes open. Made for the Texas retreats; the manual calls it deeply grounding and uses it to open events.
- Everyone's eyes are closed except the facilitator's, who is the only person who can see what contact is being made and by whom; that is a role, not a formality
- 'Create experiences for each other' is open-ended by design; the manual's earlier instruction to move away from touch is what teaches that declining is normal, and it should be given in full
- Follows one's own pleasure in a room of strangers with eyes shut; the manual places it at the start of events, which is a choice a facilitator should make on purpose rather than inherit
