Angel Walk
Slow music, a darkened room, two lines facing each other; one person at a time walks slowly between them with eyes closed while everyone touches and guides them through, perhaps whispering appreciation, and is received and held by facilitators at the end — then joins the line to carry the next. Not really a game, the manual says, and from somewhere long before authentic relating; it asks for it only after hours or days together, when the group feels open and safe.
Prerequisites
- The manual's own: several hours or days of group activity first, and a group that feels open and safe with each other
- Eyes closed, in the dark, touched by many hands one has not consented to individually — the trust in the room is the only consent there is, which is exactly why the manual waits days for it
- The whispered-appreciation option lengthens it a lot; 'suggest with care', the manual says
- Being received and held by facilitators at the end is structural; whoever is at the end of the line is holding people at their most open
