A shared map of change over time drawn as three intersecting curves: Horizon 1, the dominant system losing fit; Horizon 3, the future pattern wanting to emerge; Horizon 2, the turbulent zone of innovations between them that either prop up H1 or serve H3. Groups place their work on the curves and discover which future their busy-ness actually feeds.
