The leader poses a statement with four possible answers, the last of them open, and everyone goes to the corner representing the answer closest to their own view. Each corner then talks among itself — and if somebody is standing alone, the leader joins them so they have someone to talk to.
Hold with care
- Where you stand is your opinion, made public and physical; it cannot be taken back quietly and everyone can see the count
- How exposing it is depends entirely on the statements the leader chooses, which the sheet leaves open
- The sheet's provision that the leader joins anyone standing alone is the safeguard against the minority-of-one position, and it is the source's own
