Deep Listening
Listening past the words: in pairs or small groups, the listener holds complete, non-judgmental attention — without inner censorship, rehearsing a reply, or steering — staying open to what is beneath what is said, in the other and in themselves. Practiced with others and, in the advanced form, toward one's own inner voice. The bridge between everyday active listening and contemplative presence.
- CLARITY's own note: if the speaker is distressed, maintain a safe distance — deep listening receives, it does not treat
- Solo variant (deep listening to oneself) is advanced practice, CLARITY rates it 12+
