The room becomes a world map — the leader points out north, south, east and west — and people stand where they were born. The page's own guidance is the substance: the host country will tend to swallow the room, so ask the group to rebalance the map, and use the moment to talk about who takes and is given space in society and who stands at the margins. Variants place people where their heart is, or where they live now.
Hold with care
- Where a person was born is disclosed publicly and physically, and cannot be quietly declined once the map is being built
- The source names the risk itself: in a room in Sweden, Sweden takes over the map and everyone born elsewhere is pushed to the edges — the geometry does the excluding without anyone intending it
- The discussion the page invites — who takes space, who is at the margins — is real and needs someone able to hold it, not just start it
