Each of two improvisers is secretly given something they must get the other to do during the scene, neither knowing what the other is working toward — the instructions are given while the other covers their ears. Telling the other person outright is forbidden. The exercise succeeds only when both have done what the other was steering them toward.
Hold with care
- Both players are being steered without knowing it, which is the design; worth naming afterwards that being manoeuvred was mutual rather than done to one of them
- The page's own worked example gives one player the task of getting the other to hug them — assignments can involve touch, and whoever sets them decides that
