Compassionate accountability
To address performance issues and concerns in ways that maintain care for the person while being honest about the problem. Compassion does not mean avoiding difficult conversations. When issues need to be addressed, do so with both honesty and care: • Be direct while remaining kind: Name the concern clearly without harsh judgment… An ongoing team scaffold (conversation practice), run when issues arise, not as a one-off.
