Everyone moves around the room with their eyes closed, hands out, whispering 'potato' to whoever they meet. One person, chosen by a tap on the back, whispers 'bloody potato' instead — and whoever hears it counts silently to five and falls down dead with a horrible noise. The dead stand aside and may make ghostly sounds, which both adds atmosphere and warns the living away from the walls.
Hold with care
- A whole group moving with eyes closed; someone sighted has to be watching the room
- Being touched and whispered to without warning while unable to see
- Players are eliminated, and the frame is a hidden killer in the dark — not a game for every group or every history
- The dead making ghostly noises is the source's own safety mechanism as much as an atmospheric one: it tells the living where the edges are
